RERUN NAMES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Oct. 10, 2010 – ReRun, the Thoroughbred adoption program and on-site placement service for Monmouth Park’s retired racehorses, has named Laurie Condurso Lane as its new Executive Director. Lane founded the New Jersey Chapter in 1996 and has served as ReRun’s Adoption Coordinator since 2000. The organization’s previous Executive Director exited in 2007 and the position has gone unfilled until now. (Read more on our "Current News" page.) Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy
Chaplains began serving at Kentucky race tracks about 35 years ago with the founding in 1972 of the Race Track Chaplaincy of America, a non-profit interdenominational organization. As the ministry grew, the Kentucky division of the chaplaincy was formally established in 1989. Doering elected Ohio HBPA President Mark Doering, a ten-year board member of the Ohio HBPA, was elected as the organization's President on September 30 by a vote of the 12-member Ohio HBPA board of directors. Doering takes over the Presidency from Jim Yaegel who has served the Ohio HBPA in that role since 2006 and did not run for reelection as President but will continue to serve on the board of directors.
