Jumpers
Jumpers are horses that don't specifically come from any equine breed or lineage, though there are many stallions standing at stud who have proven themselves in the jumper ring. People will spend large sums attempting to replicate the great jumping prowess of these established champions, often with mixed results. Hunters
Show Horses designated by the term, "Hunters", are judged subjectively on the degree to which they meet an ideal standard of manners. They are renown for being easy going, with a sweeping 12 foot stride. Small dainty heads, lower head and neck carriage and super tight knees over fences make for some of a hunter's more desirable characteristics. Warmbloods, such as Hanoverians, Dutch Oldenburgs and Sellefrancais are among the sports most popular breeds.
