The Bug Boys
- Sayonara Empire Maker. He has been a productive sire and stood for $50,000 this year. In four crops, he has produced three millionaires and one stallion. The JBBA must have a paid a a lot of yen for him. I wish him a stud career more like Sunday Silence than Ferdinand. - Quality Road retired to Lane's End and will stand for $35,000. On the downside the races didn’t quite end in the story-book fas

Just Enough BLAME to Go Around
The talented four-year-old colt survives a furious, but futile stretch rally from ZENYATTA to win the 27th Breeders’ Cup Classic; was BLAME compelling enough in 2010 to beat back sentiment for Horse of the Year? The ESPN Radio headline I heard last Saturday night was, “ZENYATTA lost the Breeders’ Cup Classic.” The headline at espn.com on November 7 read "Zenyatta loses by a head." The Irish Legacy of The Real Mayo
Only the AEs were out, leaving a full field of 12. The track was fast. Tyrus (First Samurai - Beauty's Due by Devil His Due) took the early money, but Gonna Tell Mama (Bernstein - Champagne Royal by Jeblar) was favored at post time. Street Swagger (Street Cry (IRE) - Etiole by Atticus) caught my eye, and
